1000 words on the new novel today, bringing me up to 15,000 total. And the semi-official title is now Ferocious.
After telling MoviePass to suck it, I switched to AMC A-List. A very nice feature of the “three movies a week” plan is that you don’t have to watch them on separate days. In Tampa, I had a 24-screen AMC theater a mile from my house. I appreciated the convenience then, and appreciate it even more now that the drive means that going to the movies hogs up an entire evening.
So to increase my movie-watching efficiency, last night I did a double feature of Hell Fest and Bad Times at the El Royale. Hell Fest is a perfectly decent slasher flick. Bad Times at the El Royale is my favorite movie of the year. Loved every minute of it. Cabin in the Woods, written and directed by the same guy, was my favorite movie of that year, so well done, Drew Goddard.
