WolfHunt1-2019

Two thugs. One innocent woman. And one VICIOUS frickin’ werewolf.

Meet George and Lou, thugs for hire. The kind of intimidating-yet-friendly guys who will break your thumbs, but be polite about it.

Their latest assignment is to drive across Florida to deliver some precious cargo to a crime lord. The cargo: a man in a cage. Though Ivan seems perfectly human, they’re warned that he is, in fact, a bloodthirsty werewolf.

George and Lou don’t believe in the supernatural, but even if they did, it’s daytime and tonight isn’t the full moon. Their instructions are straightforward: Do not open the cage. Do not reach into the cage. Do not throw anything into the cage. And they don’t.

Unfortunately, Ivan doesn’t play by the usual werewolf rules, and the thugs find themselves suddenly responsible for a ferocious escaped beast. One who can transform at will. One who enjoys killing in human form as much as he enjoys killing as a monster.

If George and Lou want to save their careers, dozens of people, and their own lives, they need to recapture him. Because Ivan the werewolf is in the mood for a murder spree…

From Jeff Strand, the four-time Bram Stoker Award nominated author of PRESSURE, comes a brand-new novel of action-packed, blood-soaked werewolf terror!

    Jeff,

I won “Wolf Hunt” as a Grand Prize in a drawing from Dark Regions Press. My friend, another phenomenal author who wrote “The Kult”, Shaun Jeffrey, alerted me that I had won. I absolutely LOVE the book!! It is visceral, engaging, funny, dramatic and a very fulfilling read!! I look forward to starting a Jeff Strand collection to go next to my Shaun Jeffrey collection!! I know being cast in “The Kult” was a brilliant opportunity and one I’m very proud of!! Maybe I’ll get to be in a movie of one of your books someday as well!!

    Sincerely,
    J.G. Franklin

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! If there’s ever a movie of my books (PRESSURE is thus far the closest) I’ll let you know, so start memorizing the dialogue now!

This was an absolutely fantastic book. I’ve already read at least six or seven of your other books (haven’t counted, but that seems right), and this one is now my favorite. I even left a short, gushing review for it at Amazon; something I almost never do.

Minutes ago I finished reading “Mandible” after buying it yesterday. I loved it too, but it didn’t topple “Wolf Hunt” from its perch. I really need to learn how to slow down and savor your books. It’s getting too costly to read this fast, and I’m in danger of catching up to you.

Just bought Wolf Hunt and The Sinister Mr Corpse on Kindle. Couldn’t be happier! I read a lot of books and when I find an author I really like I tend to devour everything they’ve written before starting another author. I can tell you I’ll be reading everything I can find with your name on it. Thanks and good luck with all your future projects!

    Jeff,

Well you probably won’t be delighted to hear that I bought your book by accident. That one-click to buy option on Amazon caught me off guard. However, at 2.99 I decided to read it rather than complain and try to get my money back. That being the case, I did want to say that I found it quite delightful, a good combination of humor and action, and a page turner. I ended up completing the book in two sittings. It is a little more visceral than my usual taste. However, I liked it enough that I’m now searching your collection for something to buy on purpose.

    Dear Mr. Strand,
My name’s Alex Szollo,I’m 21, I live in Timisoara,Romania, and I’m just nuts about reading. I’ve been able to read ever since I was 3 and a half years old, thanks to my wonderful mother who taught me how to read to compensate my handicap, Cerebral Palsy. I’ve read countless books of every genre, but I have a penchant for horror. I like the idea of instilling fear with words, and I prefer reading horror books to watching horror movies, ’cause I think in movies, one knows when to expect a scary part by the music and the camera angles and all the rest, whilst in a book,if the author has a way with words, they can lure you in and BAM! the scary part just hits you in the face, and it’s much more intense that way.
Werewolf novels are my favorite, and it hurts me to say that with the rise of this fuckin’ bullshit genre known as paranormal romance, the werewolf has suffered an overhaul from scary, demented monster to wannabe sexy shirtless asshole turning into an oversized freakin’ German Shepherd. Screw Meyer!
I’ve been looking for a novel that really does the werewolf justice as the killing machine it really is,while adding a twist to the story. And I found out about your novel WOLF HUNT. I’ve read the descriptions of it online and I was instantly friggin’ hooked. 2 guys who think they’re tough till the situation gets howling, mad and hairy. And your werewolf can transform at will! That’s just AWESOME!
I’d love to read the book, but it’s not available in Romania, and I can’t order it online,as I have no credit card. The only way I can “pay” for a copy of the book is a review of it on my blog, where I talk about all kinds of books that have something original. I’d love to feature your book there.
So if I gave you my address and promised a review on my blog, could you send me a signed copy of WOLF HUNT?
I’d be honored to have this book straight from you and to share the book review with you,but I promise I won’t mind a negative answer. I’d be honored to get a reply from you, whatever it is.
    Respectfully yours,
    Alex Szollo,werewolf buff.
