E-book edition available from Amazon! Also included in the collection Five Novellas

Rebecca Harpster is frightened of spending the night alone, but she assures her husband Gary that she’ll be fine when he goes out camping with his buddies for the weekend. They have a safe little home in the woods of Alaska with an excellent security system. Yeah, she knows she’ll spend the entire time jumping at every noise, but she also knows that the danger is all in her head.

By Sunday night, Gary still hasn’t returned.

And when somebody shows up at the house, it’s not her husband.

At gunpoint, Rebecca learns what has happened. Two men have kidnapped Gary. He went through a weekend of pure hell.

They’ll give him back to her, but first, Rebecca has to relive his entire experience, step by horrific step…and survive…

Hi! Neat little book. This one reminded me of the first Andrew Mayhem book (sans comedy), and Crouch’s Desert Places.

I hope you continue to write serious stuff. I love Mayhem, but IMO your writing is at its best when you play the horror straight. Pressure and Dweller are two of the best thriller/horror novels I’ve read in years.

Also, thanks for supporting Kindle! After owning the device for a couple of years, I find it hard to read on anything else. Dead tree books just feel so… limited.

Please don’t give up on the hilariously funny/scary novels. They are my faves! Life is scary enough but it’s a whole lot easier to get through with a healthy dose of humor.
