MY PRETTIES Cover

Oooooh, creepy! It’s Lynne Hansen‘s cover for my upcoming novel My Pretties.

I don’t have an exact publication date yet, but it’ll be soon. Very soon.

StokerCon!!!

Woo-hoo! It’s almost time for StokerCon! This year it’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan, May 9-12. I’m driving from Atlanta, which isn’t exactly a short road trip, but at least I don’t have to stand in airport security lines.

Here’s my official schedule:

Friday, May 10

12:00 – 1:00 PM: Reading time! I’ll be sharing the hour with J.L. Gribble and Peggy Christie. My story selections are subject to change, but right now I’m planning to go with “Captain Pistachio’s Charming Rampage” and “The Douchebag Who Reneged on the Death Pact.”

4:00 – 5:00 PM: Panel: “How to Start a Regional HWA Chapter.” Andy Davidson, Crystal O’Leary-Davidson, Brian Kirk, David Powell, Jessica York, and I will discuss the formation of the Atlanta chapter of the Horror Writers Association.

5:00 – 6:30 PM: The mass signing! A giant room full of authors, PLUS it’s an ice cream social. Ice cream and books! Your opportunity to spill chocolate syrup all over a copy of Ferocious.

Saturday, May 11

12:00 – 1:00 PM: Panel: “Bloody or Creepy: Can It Ever Be Too Much?” Asher Ellis, Nicole Cushing, John F. D. Taff, John Skipp and I will discuss this important topic. Most likely we’ll say “Nope!” and then stare awkwardly at the audience for the remainder of the panel.

3:00 – 4:00 PM: Panel: “Married and in the Business.” Brian Matthews will moderate this discussion with horror power couples, including Yvonne Navarro/Weston Osche, Crystal O’Leary-Davidson/Andy Davidson, and me/Lynne Hansen. Hopefully there will be no bickering.

8:00 – 10:00 PM: The Bram Stoker Awards! I retired as Master of Ceremonies last year, so this year I’ll be watching the show from the audience! Same tux, though. Gotta look snazzy.
